Help! My dog ate a Rolaid?
My do just ate a rolaid....is that bad.....will he get sick. should i do anything?
Can I legally shoot my dog?
I in no way mean this to be cruel. I live out in the country and my family has a number of dogs. One of them has cancer. He's old and we've had him for years and we love him. However, the vet said that soon the time will come to relieve him of his pain.The vet is very far away, and quite frankly I don't want to deal with hauling this poor dog all over the place when the time comes. It would be much easier and more humane to shoot him it would be very quick and he'd die immediately.Can I legally do this? I live in California.People, I live on a farm. I love animals and they're my life.That said, we're not the sort of people who are going to buy and urn and fill it with our dead dog's ashes. We'll bury him, but that's it.And this vet doesn't make house calls and he's the only one within a hundred miles. Trust me once the dog can't eat and is in constant pain I hardly think loading him into a truck and driving around for 2 hours will be less painful than a gunshot. Yes, we live in the country. If that makes us hicks, then so be it. I don't care if you " think" it's legal or not. I want someone who knows what they're talking about. Take your opinions on my value system elsewhere.

My dog is very stubborn ad messy. I've been wondering about something. Awhile ago it made a large mess in my hosue which got everyone upset. So I took it outside and left it there unaware that our gate was slightly opened. It took hours to clean up the mess and after that I totally forgot about the dog and took a short rest which I feel very bad for and by the time I woke up and remembered I went outside and couln't find my dog. It was only yesterday that they found my dog in a nearby forest where I live, unfortunately the dog was not live any longer. Is this abuse ad is the fault on me Or was it just a careless accident?

Is working and having two dogs difficult?
I just found out my mom's only reason for not having a second dog is because she thinks working and having two will be really hard. I tried to explain to her that having one dog and working and having two dogs and working is about the same work plus they'd only be left home alone 4 hours maximum. She can support one and stuff, and we fell in love with a little girl Aussie Chow mix. But how can I explain to her two dogs is the same while working, if thats true? Thanks.
