Is this blend of dog breed desirable?
I have recently bought a puppy that's father is a maltese and the mother is a shoodle shih tzu x poodle . I'm not a dog expert at all and was wondering if this is a nice blend mix of breed and what I should expect from this puppy in way of nature and behaviour etc. Any care tips and advice much appreciated.Would have loved a pure breed but the budget didn't allow. Am a little worried now....but it is cute

Ok, so here is my situation I have been dreaming for a dog since I was eight, and now, I know that I am ready for one. My mom works full time, I have a four year old brother, and I would come back from school at 3 00 and have plenty of time for the dog. I am responsible, and I know everything about dogs now. My older brother, is not good with hairs that shed. My mom dosent like it eitherr. So, I would prefer a do who dosent shed that much. And grooming, about once a month praobably. THANKS

What dog breed would best suit my personality/lifestyle?
I have been doing heaps of research and I honestly haven't found a breed that 'fits'. They say that you should get a dog closest to your personality. Like my friend, she is a loud, passive aggresive, large personality and weight and she got this Koolie Collie thing, sweet and eager to please. In other words they just don't work together.The collie wants to be patted and is very affectionate, loving and wants to please, but if my friend finds her annoying at times, she will correct her with her big loud passive aggresive personality, which the collie doesnt take too well, she is amazingly submissive and confused.I am quietly confident, I am a loner but I want to be one. I hate being forced into a big social occaision, especially when the other person or people are really loud or really arrogant B tchy.That being said around people or friends I know, I am very hyper. I dont have any BFF's because I am very untrusting towards,...anyone. I will not open up to people. I guess i'm more of a observer rather than a get involved er. I am also very active, so an exercise partner would be good.So what breeds would suit my personality and lifestyle? They have to be big. now I know that getting a certain breed doesn't guarantee personality. Certain breeds have certain traits. Like the shar pei is fully guard dog, very suspicious of strangers. I know these are generalisations but I honestly am stuck in the bred department. I know I want a big dog that has a nice long coat oh yea, no labradors crosses. Never ever met one ive likedI want a dog with a long coat that needs alot of grooing. They look better too.

I come on here and I always hear about breeds first time owners or novice dog owners should avoid, out of all the breeds, which five breeds in your opinion do you think should be a no no for first time dog owners?If possible, tell me why for each of them.

Best dog breed(s) for my lifestyle?
Me and my fiance have a house with a big backyard, work during the day, but when we come home we'd be pretty active with the dog s ...jogging, dogparks, etc. I was thinking if we got two pups then they could keep eachother company, grow up together, and play with eachother in the backyard while me & my fiance are at work. Would a black lab border collie mix get too bored? What breeds would fit our lifestyle? Thanks

My little brother's birthday is coming up. He is turning 6 years old and some of the family got him presents and my mom decided to get him a puppy. we wanted a kind of dog who is gentle and friendly with everyone, and playful. We had a list of choices for a breed of dog to look for. We decided between golden retriever, beagle, pug, boxer, or a dalmatian. which one is the nicest and friendliest to people espicially children. if you have any other suggestions feel free to tell me with your answer. so basically, which breed is the best recommended to a child like him.

Dog Breed Question (MIX BREED)?
I adopted a dog from a person about 4 weeks ago. Was told he was Border Collie Lab mix. 3 4 BC & 1 4 LAB. Vet said yesterday that he looks to be either Chow or Sharpei mix because of his black spotted tongue. I live on a military post and CHOW breed is a prohibited breed in post housing, so I'm needing to know exactly what he is. Anyone with any insight, it would be greatly appreciated Are Chows a good breed to have around when I have a 2 yr old toddler? Are there any other breeds that could have the spotted tongue and cinnamon colored fur? Dog breeds famous for being reserved?
they still love you but dont give you the constant thud of tennis balls in your lap and dont take you for a 2 hour run but would rather walk down the road.they give the " running is for the undignified, air" they are obedientbut still act as if they are above such petty things as a master and pet relationship.and yet they are very protective of you, there person.can you name some of these breeds?this is curiosity.i wont be getting another dog for a couple years
