Is working and having two dogs difficult?
I just found out my mom's only reason for not having a second dog is because she thinks working and having two will be really hard. I tried to explain to her that having one dog and working and having two dogs and working is about the same work plus they'd only be left home alone 4 hours maximum. She can support one and stuff, and we fell in love with a little girl Aussie Chow mix. But how can I explain to her two dogs is the same while working, if thats true? Thanks.

Black spot in my dogs eye that moves about half the size of a pencil eraser?
i have a two and a half year old purebred yellow lab. she recently developed a black spot in her eye its about half the size of a pencil eraser, completly round, and black. when she rolls over on her back the spot moves to the top of her eye it doesnt seem to bother her. the spot is located in front of the colored part of her eye the clear part as viewed form the size i am concerned that this might develope into something else. should i take her to the vet right away to get it hecked out?thank you

Why does my dog whine for no reason?
So I have deaf, 14 year old Scottish Terrier, and for the past few months now, all she does is sit there and whine. It's driving us up the walls The only time she's quiet is when we're petting her which is frequently. Otherwise, she'll lay down on the other side of the room and just whine at no one in particular. She has plenty of food and water, we haven't changed her diet, and she gets taken on long walks several times a day. The vet doesn't seem to think anything is wrong, but I don't know... what are some other reasons she may be doing this?

Can I legally shoot my dog?
I in no way mean this to be cruel. I live out in the country and my family has a number of dogs. One of them has cancer. He's old and we've had him for years and we love him. However, the vet said that soon the time will come to relieve him of his pain.The vet is very far away, and quite frankly I don't want to deal with hauling this poor dog all over the place when the time comes. It would be much easier and more humane to shoot him it would be very quick and he'd die immediately.Can I legally do this? I live in California.People, I live on a farm. I love animals and they're my life.That said, we're not the sort of people who are going to buy and urn and fill it with our dead dog's ashes. We'll bury him, but that's it.And this vet doesn't make house calls and he's the only one within a hundred miles. Trust me once the dog can't eat and is in constant pain I hardly think loading him into a truck and driving around for 2 hours will be less painful than a gunshot. Yes, we live in the country. If that makes us hicks, then so be it. I don't care if you " think" it's legal or not. I want someone who knows what they're talking about. Take your opinions on my value system elsewhere.
Why does my dog wet the bed?
I was under the impression that dogs dont pee where they sleep? Well i have a super neat lil guy that pees on my bed where he sleeps also . We take him out every hour or so, hes usually really good about potty training, but from time to time he'll pee on the bed. Is he broken or what?he's about a year and a half old, completely healthy.
